Ebor or Ebore?

Summer racing isn’t over quite yet and today kicks of the Ebor meeting at York. I’ve traditionally done OK at this festival each year so I am looking for something above average this week.

The Ebor meeting can yield some good results, but nothing is ever guaranteed and this meeting can be a bit random at times so it’s probably not going to be all plain sailing. It should be better than what we have been seeing recently though.

Traditionally, the space between two big meetings in racing can be pretty disappointing and that’s pretty much what we’ve seen since Goodwood. So I approach this week with raised hopes, let’s hope it delivers!

Prize money at York today is £845k versus just £25k at Bath on the same day. Enjoy!

Interesting post. I always find the Ebor markets to be useful. I’d assume it’s the right mixture of media coverage, quality markets but without the excessive hype.

I had a great Thursday, but the other days were a bit mixed. I often find it goes like that at Ebor. A few markets had far to much money in them for the quality. So I think some people were over-doing it!
