Help!

I'm trying to work out how the wom is calculated.

i.e. just the current price,

then the current price and next price together and then finally all three?

Can anybody help?

Thanks,Nigel

Am I missing something here?

You do all those brilliant Excel sheets, and now you're asking for help on something quite straightforward?

Sometimes you can't see the woods for the trees

I want to post something, but to make sure it's all ok before I do. I've got a wrong 'un somewhere and it's hard to track down. Just wanted to make sure my initial calcs were correct. Two heads are better than one.

Cheers,Nigel

Previously I have just summed 'all volume' i.e.if you wish WoM for the 3 back and lay prices which reach excel just sum all 3 backs and lays then divide this by the sum of the backs.

Total Volume / back Volume.

[I don't use WoM indicators anymore so this is just off the top of my head but pretty sure it is correct.]

Yep that's correct, add all the 3 back's together and divde by the total of the 3 back's and the 3 lays.

Thanks for that. Sorted now. ( Won't you tell how I arrived at a figure of 193%)!

The great thing about using Excel to calculate the WOM is you can play around with the weighting.

You can also do this for the main application in the main settings editor. See the display tab where it says 'Weight of money indicator configuration'.

But experimenting with Excel and seeing the effect of the changes on bet triggers is always good fun...!

Weight of money is absolutely crucial to my trading.

If you are not looking at WOM while trading, thank you. VERY much.

Are there any professional traders in the forum who don't use WOM?

I doubt it,
WOM is still as important as ever imo.

Althoe you need alot more than just wom alone of cause.

I guess that depends on what her results are like... :)

What method does she use?

Mainly the methods I gave her when she first learned.

I'm surprised those methods didn't include WOM, given how highly you regard it as an indicator...
