Interested to hear some have been offered good deals though, sounds like I need to speak to Betdaq and Betfair.

Just to clear up any confusion, as I said earlier:

If you're not on the best deal already, what hope does anyone else have.

As I have losses and winnings (less commissions) most days...
To answer your original question Paul, it looks likely that the service you are using probably does get a backhander from the exchange and is profiting one way or another from using their 'free' service.

Maybe, some of these arbitrage/bonus bagger websites are making a fortune then. Because newbies cashing in on the bonuses will be aiming to lose ALL their money at the bookmakers and win the Lays at Betfair.

Based on my own experiance I wouldn't think there was much money in this sort of thing. I guess it depends what you define by "much money". You may get rewarded for bringing new business to the mix but not old and I guess there are not many people who have not heard of Betfair or any of the other popular exchanges.

Peter,
You're be surprised - I went to a funeral recently - nobody I spoke to had heard of Betfair, even my cousin an ex-bookie was not sure who they were.

The other issue these days is just about every blog you go to and other such betting sites have these links so it is hard to be the one who gets the kickback.
There must still be money in it though as you have sites like Bet72, odds comparison sites, racing post etc all pushing betting through them.
But go back 8 years or so ago and there wasn't that many people doing it so you stood a much better chance of getting the kickback.
I see the RP are pushing their service of betting through their app which no doubt means they get a kick back.
But all these 'free' sites have to be paid for some how or we would be paying to use them.
But I think the golden days are well and truly over, some people made mega money (some maybe still do) but by the time everyone is on the case the riches are few and far between. I like the rules such as that by the time you hear someone in the pub telling their mate about how they know someone who made a heap of money and that they should try it, it is too late.
