back lay order?

I'm trying to create a bot for a back2lay strategy, at the moment my bot is very simple (finding my feet, learning).
This is not an in-play bot.

Switch market, back favourite, lay favourite, green up, export P&L
back: custom ticks below best market price | tick 1
lay: custom ticks above best market price | tick 1
trigger 5 times each as I'm testing and do not want to get told off.

The problem I'm facing is that the lay bet is placed before the back bet, and this kills any potential profits. The P&L column goes in red and it's hard to get out of it.
example:
lays £2 at 4.1 then followed by a back £2 at 3.75
rinse and repeat...

What I'm trying to achieve is the following for example:
back £2 at 4.1 then followed by a lay £2 at 3.75
this would show green values in the P&L which I can auto green up by adding another rule (not in this bot, but I have a working one).


How can I for example:
If the lay bet is placed first, that the back bet is placed a few ticket above the lay one
or, place the back first before the lay.

The experts will be along shortly but you could use offset bets and the kill/fill option?

So you'd create a back bet rule with offset of x ticks ?

I believe there's a B2L rule in the shared area

oh right I see, the "rule with offset of x ticks" is having 1 rule instead of 1 back and 1 lay.
I shall try that, thanks for the pointer, appreciate the help.
