I did but stopped to concentrate purely on pre-race, & I like getting up at 1pm ;)

Ditto Simon, but I'm making a huge effort ready for winter racing and getting up really early...11:30 :)

People often judge you as lazy for getting up at midday but they forget we're up and often working until 4 or 5am+ when those lazy b's are tucked up in their jimjams. :) I enjoyed and did ok on the NBA last time round. It's an interesting market esp IP or during the playoffs for those of us who prefer nights to days. Vols can vary though from a few thou to millions.

It's a shame about Ayr being abandonded, prehaps Ballinrobe will be a bit busier because of it.

Not many shorties today. I'm not keen on these competitive races.

Y, I was about to extoll the virtues of the Gold cup meeting and then wondered where it was.

Ha ikr ;) I love the stillness & peace during the night, can really rifle through stuff without being disturbed, does no good for the skin though :?

Racing at Ayr tomorrow has been abandoned with track still unraceable, inspection has been called for noon tomorrow for racing on Saturday.

Saturday called off too, shame as its probably the towns busiest week so I hope they are able to reschedule.

Racing can be such a shambles at times. I remember the days when Football matches were called off due to waterlogging, but that rarely happens now.

Imagine the cost of ripping up the turf though and putting in a good drainage system it would cost millions for a course already struggling.

Just unfortunate that the west (carlisle all the way up through Scotland) gets that much rain!
