Ok so there's no problem with your account being able to place bets from your location.
Can you add approx a dozen the UK/IRE horse racing markets to guardian and apply the rule to them all (dont connect or apply any excel spreadsheets) also ensure your refresh rate is set to at least 200ms. Then after its ran on a few markets post a copy of some of the logs if it has not triggered correctly

Thanks for your reply.

I followed your instruction.
A change refresh to 200ms and selected the Uk/Irish market.
Next to that I turn off bet confirmation and changed my IP address to UK.

At the first screenshot you see that I have lost with 4 bets €20
I started with €70 and left with €50

Below the logs

Shows a matched lay bet

screenshot BAGuardian05
Shows exactly the same as screenshot BAGuardian03 but here I lost the the lay bet.

screenshot BAGuardian06
Shows 2 matched bets; a lost and a win.
No idea why that is possible?

screenshot BAGuardian07
Shows no unmatched or matched but the betfair results shows a lost.

As a newbee, from the info on the logs, it it hard to understand why I win or lose.
Remarkable is that I lose often on high stakes.

But anyway, the purpose of the bot is not to have a lose.
I wonder why I do have.

I have another question related to this bot.
Is it possible to create a bot that has Back bet on the horse with the least predicted chance to win and a Lay bet on any other horse that win the race?

Ok i think i can see whats going on now.

Look at the update column in guardian your still updating markets just once every second (you should be doing this at least every 200ms (prefereably every 20ms if you have enabled streaming).

At the moment if you have just 50 markets in guardian its taking 50 secs to refresh and update each market one time, the back bet of this rule is only armed for a 5sec window before the off so any more than 5 markets in guardian means the back rule wont get triggered on all markets.

Have a read of this thread for full details and how best to set the rule up and why its so important

Hi Dallas,

AS promissed here I am back with an update after changing refresh to 20ms.

The change showed a big difference.
The logs at the Guardian as wel as Betfair activity result are given adaquate information.

Unfortunately, as you can see at the screenshots are havy.
I started with a balance of €50 and ended with a ballance of €11.

Hier is a screenshot of betfair.com/summary/accountstatement
betfair.com summary accountstatement.GIF
My comments on the results of the indivudual races start from the first line below.

I will do the double reporting first.

Horse 9, Wobelee
The report shows two reports.
Since I be new here I don't know if this is normal.
Back bet won
Lay bet lost
But I shouldn't have to pay a lost here

Looking above I see for
Horse 4. yourblueyescrying
Horse 1. Pin code same story
Same story as for horse 9 Wobelee.

Further above
Horse 4.Enjoyable
Other way arround
Back bet lost
Lay bet win
But I shouldn't have to pay for the back bet lost.

Looking at the single reports from a race, we see as we start from below
4. Midnight Obsession Back bet lost
1. Fast stryke Lay bet lost
8. Liava Back bet lost
9. Van Mara Back bet won
1. Rockingthe boys back bet lost
6. Express Pass Lay bet lost.

How is it possible that, what ever bets wins, I be charged.
I was thinking that:
a. If the Fav wins the bet is be zero-ed by the bot, I will win nothing
b. If the Fav doesn't win, one of the others horses will win. I will get paid the stake price of the lay bet.

Looking forward to receive your anser/solution.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Note:

I betted on the Australian Market.
Should I have done Uk/Irish market as you advised yesterday?

Yes run it on UK/IRE races and you'll see a world of difference, Aus racing has barely any money traded in-running so the odds will move very differently. Load up a UK race onto a ladder screen then do the same with an Aus race and you'll see just how big the difference is.

There is a few types of Aus races where liquidity is good enough to trade in-running but im not sure which they are as i never bother with any outside the UK.

Hi Dallas,

Thanks again,

Do you have an explanation for the many lost bets I have?
What can be the reason
The bot is created to have a no lose trade.
What do I wrong?

Why do I have here a lose of €24 while my liability is €10.
Betfair P&L 260117.GIF
What will be the influence if I increase my liability to €5

Thanks again for your answers

Both back and lay bets need to be matched to create a no lose trade, so their is never a guarantee it will work every time, but with so little in-running betting on overseas races then a back bet could be matched and unless the horse runs a blinder then its price wont shorten leaving a loss, or vice verse if the back bets in unmatched due to such little activity then the horse belts off the lay gets only and you lose if the horse romps home.

When backing to a liability its your potential profit (the liability the person who takes your bet is accepting). the lower the odds backed at the higher the stake amount will need to be to achieve the liability amount. Likewise the higher the odds the lower the amount needed

Hi Dallas,

I will appreciate it verymuch if you can have a look at this:

Horse Racing / Wolv 26th Jun : 7f Mdn Stks
Betfair back bet prob01.GIF
Back bet lost
Lay bet should have won
Confirm bets are off but I don't see my Lay bet.
It has happen a couple of times with other bets.

I wonder what has happen here.

It didn't shorten enough in-running to get the lay matched
BSP 1.68 > 1.58 (10 ticks)

If I may ask, how did you find out this information:
BSP 1.68 > 1.58 (10 ticks)

It has happen a few times and most of the times it takes away my whole profit of the day.
Is there a way to avoid this?

If you don't mind, I have this question too.

I quote:

"If the lay is matched you will have no liability (not able to lose) if the fav goes on to win ............."

After confirming the Back/Lay bet on the popoup, you can get two kind of messages at the logs
1. Fully matched
2. Entirely unmatched

What would you advise to do with your Lay bet if you get at your Back bet:
1. Fully matched
2. Entirely unmatched.

Thanks for your answer
