Football, Soccer - whatever you call it. It is the beautiful game.

I refer you to this link: http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league- ... -2011.html

Between 2006 and 2011, City spent £419 million net on players, Chelsea spent £156 million, and United spent £52 million (behind Stoke City, Sunderland and Aston Villa, amongst others).

The difference between United and City/Chelsea is that United is a business, not a billionaire's plaything, so it can't afford to go spending hundreds of millions of pounds on new players. That's why I say that the notion of Man U as the world's richest club is a bit misleading!

Jeff

It's exactly my point.
I only disagree about Man Utd as the world's richest club is a bit misleading. I think it's not misleading, it depends on which prospective you are looking at things..
P.S.( nothing to do with the premier league,.....Juventus is 3-0 up vs Rome after 28 minutes of the game) I have mentioned today about lack of penaltys for Juventus.... the 3rd gaol was on penalty and red card for the goalkeeper...Game over...3 points ahead of Ac Milan...yeeepppppppy

This derby match is going to just be a monster of a market!

I still feel Man Utd are a bit fragile but do Man City want it enough? Can't wait!

I can't wait either. Can it go up to 16M matched? 20M perhaps? Even though Man city beat Man utd, in my opinion there is a bigger game ahead for Man city.

Aston Villa now into 7.6 for relegation after another dreadful performance this evening. LeTiss has made a great call on this one!

i hope QPR join Wolves in getting relegated... maybe it will be a lesson to chairmen not to change manager mid-season after a poor run of form.

had Martinez been given the chop a couple of months ago Wigan would be down now.

It can work both ways though. Look at what's happened to Chelsea's form since AVB was shown the door...

Going to be a great run in now. City odds on for the title.
