Wimbledon 2012

I've made my decision for the winners market. I think Federer can take out the tournament and 5.5 is value. He's in-form, he's worked on his serve and volley and he's still the master on grass.

Murray silenced his critics with an excellent first round match and he's beaten the top-3 enough times. He's value also.

Sharapova has come from behind to win the first set in a tie break and is now about to lose the second set in a tie break. Interesting match.

I unloaded on Federer to win the tournament earlier in the day at 5.5. Nadal now out to 4+ Fed into 5 :D

This is turning out to be one of the best Wimbledon's ever from a trading perspective.

I know there have been some topics about this before but I decided to see what I can make out of Betdaq Angel today and traded a little bit of the tennis. I don't have the final figures but from the late indication the total traded on the Federer on Betdaq was £250,000. The total on Betfair was closer to £18,000,000. I was only to get in and out of the market a couple of times, still made a profit but it was fairly meagre.

I know a few of you guys have moved over that way, even if only with part of your bank, but do any of you find it possible to make any real returns on these markets?

Personally I can't see how Betdaq make any money, what with their low commission rates and complete lack of liquidity in the majority of their markets.

Interesting. Fed thinks the roof changes the conditions on grass.

"Federer’s struggle was played out under the roof, as was the final set of Rafael Nadal’s historic loss to Czech world number 100 Lukas Rosol in the second round 24 hours earlier."

"Earlier Friday even defending champion and top seed Novak Djokovic struggled in the hothouse conditions, dropping the first set to veteran Czech Radek Stepanek before reaching the last 16 in four sets."

“It does play different indoors. Obviously that’s a bit of getting used to"
