Nobody wants to speak about this, not Betfair, not Betangel, but the fact is, that, if you are profitable on Betfair, with Betangel, you will be punished, first by 20%, then by 60% of your winnings. I understand that it is about business, of course Betfair does want to hide this, if new customers of Betfair would know this, they would use another place to do their bets, and new customers of Betangel, if they would know this, would try other ways to do their bettings.
Sorry that I bring this fact up in this forum, but is it wrong that we try to be honest about things?

Sorry, I used the words wrongly somehow. It is not about Betangel, it is about profitable accounts and Betangel is a fantastic tool to make a profitable account and this will result in Betfair punishing you.

There is a lot of discussion on this forum about everything, Betfair charges, Betdaq, everything. As one of the first vendors to produce a Betdaq product we have been committed for ages to trying to create a good environment for open and honest discussion, as well as encouraging people to try all options.
I think that's pretty clear from all the topics on the forum. There is nothing more we would like than vigorous competition between exchanges. That can only benefit everybody.

(I am not an English person, I do my best to express myself) ... and ... Yes, I give you all my credits that I am able to, I can sense the honest and transparent touch you have. I have not yet checked it, but I believe that today I got more profit on Betdaq than Betfair even before the 60% punishment!!!

As many of you know I have made a fabulous living using BA on BF for nearly 6 years now. With the higher PC I became very disillusioned with Bf and decided to take a break.
After many months of trying I was offered a decent job (paying 40k a year). The kicker was I was travelling over an hour each way and doing horrible shifts. This is the same for most jobs these days, at least I was getting a good wage.
It took me some time to get back into the swing of working again. I enjoyed the interaction with the people I met. I did not enjoy the interaction with the tosser who was my boss. Things were going OK until I started to pay income tax again once my allowance had been reached. INCOME TAX = 40% + NI = PC
My eureka moment came when I had made on Saturday even allowing for my PC more than I had earned going to work all week.
I am very unhappy about paying the PC, but putting things into perspective I'll live with it.
I was becoming lazy, been used to helping myself for so long. The reality of it is getting up at 5.00 am, driving 60 miles doing a 9 hour shift and then driving home again, having tea then going to bed just to "spite" Betfair by not paying the PC was a wake up call I needed.
I have massive respect to everyone who does this, most because they have no choice. It really has made me realise how privileged I am.
I used to have a boss who was demanding, unfair and expects more than he is entitled too. I have changed it around slightly now.
My "boss" is Betfair. He lets me work when I want, he doesn't make me travel. I get days off and holidays when I want (unpaid). He doesn't hassle me or shout at me. Doesn't have bad breath and no sense of humor (BF have an awesome sense of humour, just look at the stunts they pull!) My pay is performance related. The better I do my job the more I earn. The taxation system is similar. (I'd rather pay tax into the treasury so they can buy more weapons to get involved with wars that have nothing to do with them)
Work:
Tried it.......didn't like it.
Betfair:
Thank you for saving me from my suffering, I won't complain anymore. Just work even harder to make up the shortfall from the PC.
I am still fed up with Betfair's arrogance, but more tolerant now.
Sorry for waffling, posting helps me think clearly:)

That's a great post mugsgame
I don't fall into 60% yet, but I had the same thought process when I started paying 20%. I don't pay income tax. If I had a job that gave me the same salary as BF, I'd be paying more in tax, NI and travelling expenses than what my 20% to BF amounts to.
My boss is Betfair, that's exactly how I described my job to my mum a few months back!

Good morning all
This is my first post, instigated by mention above of a 60% charge in addition to the 20% PC charge.
It is highly likely that I've missed out on a bit of widely publicised news regading this and I would firstly, normally go running off doing my research on what this relates to, which will be my next move.
In the meantime, I thought it might be prudent to ask exactly what this 60% charge is, if someone would be so kind as to explain?
Wishing you all luck with your strategies and also your outright punts!!

Good luck
Peter

Might help if you opened your eyes a bit!
As Peter has said it has been discussed to death on this forum and on his blog and in numerous other places.
YOU even took part in a thread (look 7 threads below this one at the moment) where it was discussed at great length! Recently I asked specifically YOU for an update about it but you haven't bothered to reply????
See
