Hello to all,,
Having read alot the posts on the forum and found many to be usefull as a guide ,i have been tweeking a strategy this week that may be of some help to the many newbies like myself out there ..
Without going into great detail it requires you to put work in and long hours with an early start.I have been getting some very good results.I trade 2 0r 3 horses a day before going on to football.
If anybody is interested and maybe then we can share info\workload then message me.
The 3 for today that have been marked are below.
1.HELLFIRE CLUB.S15.10
2.BREAK THE CHAIN .H15.20
3.MILITARY MAN.H15.50
Regards
john

Why do this you are not saying back or lay just putting up horses names.
Newbies just look at Betdaq tip check this will give you a better idea of which races too trade and horses.
Your first two picks drifted out.Nice green on connack so thanks I guess!!

Thanks for your thoughts Bilko.I like the oddschecker website better ,but take on board Betdaq price movers.
I back horses initially(due to my limited betting bank).
I then use the stop and trailing stop(depending on price and volatility) ect as the price moves down hopefully,i agree that 15/10 mins before a race they may drift,(possibly traders coming out)but i green up with my stake then lay in running,or if not a strong bet will green out at start.
Im looking to trade the selections and wont go in play at a loss(if possible).Im learning, any tips /strategies would be appreciated,i have been struggling using ladder and other functions ,and have found that with the jump season starting in earnest the results are starting to come slowly but surely using this approach.

Thanks john for the update.
CUBAN PIECE was an AP Mccoy ride 9 times out of 10 this would come in.
But due to the years of trading was showing off a bit sorry(BY THE WAY IT WON) and it hint 5.20 pre off!!
I don't like given out advise as would class myself as a below average trader.
This time of year I trade 5 to 10 races a day.
The ladder is your best tool for getting a feel of the market.Just watch the money on back if you are a backer ie if its staked up then back if not do nothing.(but it if go against you must have money to throw in a lay)
Betdaq Tip Check is a good place to get a feel ie 1 to 3 favs is to me a trade market.
But this is trading and its down to peoples opinions!!
I wish good luck and hope that this helps a little bit.

Thanks Bilko
Dont apologise ,you were right, and its a help,i got your point.Id say i know a little how traders act/can be as i worked in the first trading room 7/8 years ago in sunny edinburgh and there were some big players in those days .I picked up alot but things change i guess.
I did trade myself mostly in running(easier in those days ) and now after 5 years working abroad getting back into it fulltime. You seem switched on,so any input is always apprieciated.
I take my hat off to you guys that trade fulltime as i miss the daily interaction etc,its quiet an inverted(probably not right word) occupation. The upside i know can be great so im giving it full commitment and have set goals for the spring were i hope to have an office in sunny edinburgh and a trip to cheltenham to kick start the time when the money starts coming back into the markets(i know its harder just now).By then hope to have a firm grasp and bank to play in the big meetings ..
Did trade 1 race back and lay yest -EXETER 14.50,FAV DRIFT FROM 1.78 -2.32 ,SECOND FAV 3.7 -2.97(was obvious to me)that was about the laying side
Good luck to you ,hope you ahve a good days trading.
Regard j
