hi people, looked to answer my question on google and this board but with no success so here goes . .
If i backed an outcome and then went to lay the same outcome but didn't have the sufficient funds to complete the lay, would i still be able to place the lay because potentially i wouldn't be anymore exposed.
for example Betfair balance £200
Back £100 at odds of 20
Lay £100 at odds of 19
would i be able to place the lay bet ?
Thanks Stu

Yes, but it wouldn't work the other way around as your initial liability on your lay would be much higher than your balance.

You should actually be staking £10 on back side as part of a trading money management strategy, thats if you are trading
