A game of cricket between Afghanistan and Scotland, played at the bottom of the world (Dunedin, NZ) in front of a couple of thousand people, has traded $64 million with 5 overs to go.
You want liquidity? Get into cricket people. Both teams have traded at 1.10 or less.

im starting to realise that class seams to prevail in the end when the underdog hits short odds. Maybe just empicale evidence but worth investigating further!

It's an amazing story to see afganistan win despite their adversities that they have endured!

Cricket is brilliant for traders - the liquidity is really huge and you get some amazing swings too

Most of the swings happen in the first innings as opposed to 20/20 which occurs all throughout.

It just shows how much liquidity on Cricket markets must come from Asia

Hours leading up to India vs Australia we saw £8M matched. Hours away from NZ vs AUS final and we have just 10% of that figure

I might add, trading cricket Is fantastic because records are getting broken left right and centre. There are plenty of people trading with duckworth Lewis and various other models which are outdated. Which makes it a goldfield if you understand the game

I've been really interested in limited over Cricket but realised that the DW method is flawed so have been exploring a variety of ways to model.

It's more the impact of a wicket and how the batting order affects that.

There's not a one size fits all approach. Some players will have a bigger impact on the price. Furthermore, grounds have different dimensions which alters par score and the way teams play. Aussies will go bouncing the ball all day tommorrow and If nz can't handle those tactics nz will crumble. 300 runs will be a winning score at mcg, whilst it won't be in nz grounds.
