Last ten greyhound races this evening

31,19,44,34,40,38,23,43 & 42k

It's picking up
Ive recently started to have a very close look at the greyhound markets thanks to this thread. Lots to do and test over the coming months but the early signs are encouraging. Lets hope the volumes continue to grow

Hi Guys
Do you just trade the evening dog races or can the races that start at 11am be tradeable also?
Thanks

Quality improves during the day. I do the morning stuff but it never yields much.

I'm thinking maybe it's time to start a new thread so we can actually talk about greyhound racing?

I wanted to reply to a comment last night, but I've lost it in the melee.
I had asked you how much you wait to be matched on the market and on the horse being traded? 😃

You can pretty much go by the gradings. The higher quality races tend to be really liquid and there are lots you can do in them. The lower quality stuff is a bit more variable.

I haven't refined my automation enough to look at specific races, so I just set a hurdle of £5k by 60 seconds to activate any trading. I think that's too rough and ready TBH. But it's improved my results.
Just out of interest, approx how many races a day of say 60, exceed £5k in the last 60secs.?
Thought I’d have a little go at the greyhounds 😀

Does anyone know what has happened with the Greys at Peterborough this evening? Is the meeting delayed? My autobot positions are still on at Betfair.

Cheers

Hi!
I want to trade Greyhounds Racing but i read that some races suspend before the off. Is that happens often in Greyhounds Racing?

Some do YES.

Swindon can be very difficult with races sometimes going off 40 seconds before the scheduled start time.

Ok. I will be careful there. Other tracks are better?

Hi all, I was wondering if someone knows when greyhound racing starts finishing later again (around 22:30 as opposed to 21:45ish at the moment).

Many thanks in advance

Sunderland 11:34 seemed to go off 30 secs early... Not noticed many early starts recently so stood out a bit... Resetting clocks just in case )

It did go off early. I was lucky I was left with an open lay on the 1 dog.

In the last year trading dogs, Swindon and Sunderland have been the only tracks I remember starting races 30secs earlier, every now and then.

Although in recent weeks this seemed to have stopped, I always try and close trades 30secs before the off.

I moved to +5secs to -5secs after Peters post on start times and its in general seems to be fine.. I used to close at +10 secs but I think a lot of others do that based on what seems frantic activity at that particular time point... Wouldn't be surprised if there is some opportunity to exploit this by a few brave souls )
