Ive recently started to have a very close look at the greyhound markets thanks to this thread. Lots to do and test over the coming months but the early signs are encouraging. Lets hope the volumes continue to grow

You can pretty much go by the gradings. The higher quality races tend to be really liquid and there are lots you can do in them. The lower quality stuff is a bit more variable.
I haven't refined my automation enough to look at specific races, so I just set a hurdle of £5k by 60 seconds to activate any trading. I think that's too rough and ready TBH. But it's improved my results.
Thought I’d have a little go at the greyhounds

Ok. I will be careful there. Other tracks are better?BetScalper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 3:14 pmSome do YES.
Swindon can be very difficult with races sometimes going off 40 seconds before the scheduled start time.

Sunderland 11:34 seemed to go off 30 secs early... Not noticed many early starts recently so stood out a bit... Resetting clocks just in case )

It did go off early. I was lucky I was left with an open lay on the 1 dog.

In the last year trading dogs, Swindon and Sunderland have been the only tracks I remember starting races 30secs earlier, every now and then.
Although in recent weeks this seemed to have stopped, I always try and close trades 30secs before the off.

I moved to +5secs to -5secs after Peters post on start times and its in general seems to be fine.. I used to close at +10 secs but I think a lot of others do that based on what seems frantic activity at that particular time point... Wouldn't be surprised if there is some opportunity to exploit this by a few brave souls )northbound wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 9:24 pm
