Thanks to the weather. I suggest that if you need your trading fix over the next couple of days you have a look at Greyhounds. Similar to racing in the way they trade.

I'll be out in the snow with the kids so you wont have me to worry about.

Do you not find, though, that the lack of volume means that the prices can jump around unpredictably?

Yes the prices do jump around a bit, but you can trade the gaps..
Usually bettr to make a small amount and move on before the odds are displayed/announced on various web sites.

I noticed that there was £27K matched on a race earlier this morning...bet the winning dog only got £50!..

I can see the Going Grey entry on the blog by Peter, but there is no detail as to what the strategy is. Ok, trading but what is the trigger? Lay the fav or back the fav? Or something else.

It makes you wonder what motivates the greyhound owners and trainers.

There's no way I'd go to all the hassle and expense of owning a greyhound, just for a 1 in 6 chance of winning 50 quid on a cold, dark and wet December afternoon!
