Darts is a brilliant trading sport, so I thought I'd start a thread for World Championships starting today

If you haven't traded darts before, it has some amazing swings & is cracking entertainment too

Thurs 16th
Nicholson v Farmer
Beaton v Hylton
Webster v Maish

Should even be enough liquidity pre-match for traders to have a dabble

Some good opportunities are there to be had if you time your entry into the markets right. Still never been able to re-produce my Martin Adams v Phil Nixon trade from the 2007 Lakeside finals though. Adams awas 6-0 up and 1.01 on betfair. I laid him as the players went for a break and "Nixy" came out and won the next 6 sets and looked as though he was going to win the 13th set as well. Adams price drifted right out to 3.0 ish at one stage. I got out the market 2.02 (which was too early with hindsight) but still returned a nice profit!!!

Hi LeTiss,

I'm a darts fan too. Ordinary people, great excitement and the only competitive "sport" I can think of which is pure, that is a dart is either in or out.

Unfortunately, I hopeless at trading it, still maybe that would spoil the excitement,

cheers, P

Letiss, just wanna say thanks for drawing my attention to this. I've found darts to be awesome for trading for my style. With no tennis its been brilliant trading markets, and its pretty intertaining to watch too

Is the liquidity normally as good on other darts tournaments? Man I hope so.... :D

PDC events on Sky always have excellent liquidity

I'm glad you're a convert, it's a brilliant trading sport

Being watching the darts the last couple of nights, fantastic entertainment even if you aren't betting or trading it. If I remember correctly Wade was at 1.02 at one stage earlier this afternoon and only won the match by winning a sudden death play off. What a match it was tho!!!!

great entertainment and great trading opportunities.

Last match prime example. Had the pleasure of going this year (Tuesday gone) and I would recommend it to everyone - i took the family (two kids 6&11) and they loved it!
