Pinnacle claim a GBP10 "winning bet" placed on all the NBA games of last year would have netted GBP24k.

They mean if you had the foresight of the Gods and put GBP10 on either A or B, whoever won. If I had that, pal, I would put GBP10,000,000 on each game.
They don't mean place GBP10 on A and GBP10 on B; as then you're only in profit when the unfavoured wins at odds above 3.0. Say from 1300-ish NBA games per season (between 1290 and 1335 depending) and one fifth of games won by underdog at around 4.0 starting price that only covers about trhee quarters of games.
