Hi I was trying to trade out of a bet and the following happened.

Market = Half time correct score

0 - 0 @ 2.70 £10.50 Lay - at start of play
Goal scored
1 - 0 @ 1.68 £10.50 Lay - after 1st goal

40 mins gone I tried to green up for £4.65
BA placed these bets -

1 - 0 @ 1.08 - 16.33 Back
0 - 0 @ 1,000.00 - 2.00 Back

How can I avoid BA placing a back bet on the 0 - 0 as it is already 1 - 0.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Use the green up part in the 'manual bet' part and just do the selection you need to green up on. I'm guessing you 'greened up' on the 1click part as that will 'green up' all your selections.

I think you were using very small stakes?

When you do this Bet Angel has to place a number of orders and change your bet ID to get around the Betfair minimun. It does this by staking one bet at odds of 1000. If the price is already at 1000 it just fills and that's it!

The way to get around this is to increase your stakes so that Bet Angel can green up by placing a lay or back bet directly in to the market, rather than having to use any tricks.
