a "relative" newbie

ok heres some comments from a recent new user although I am a long term matched bettor, arber, bad each-way-er, extra place chaser etc for probably 10 years or so now, as well as dog bets, footie arbing, politics bets - you get the picture.

I think Peter is quite right that the avoidance of emotion is critical, you need to get yourself into the 'zone' for trading. I find when I do start cussing I am inclined to make more mistakes, make situations worse etc.

I've focused on scalping 5 minutes or so before races, much easier i find when there are two clear favourites for a race, when there are 4 or so horses all about 6.00 to 8.00 odds for example (and all with potential to rapidly change price) , much much harder to keep on top of it, and miss something.

oh yeah a lot better too when you get up to date pictures from the track !
