The bet was placed at 1.60 as instructed and £3.71 was matched immediately

The remaining £1996.29 was left unmatched

20 seconds later you closed the bet by clicking the 'close' button next to the unmatched bet which instructed the software to match the rest at the current best price which was now 1.51

At this point you should have cancelled the remaining amount if you didn't want to be matched at lower odds than it was placed at, this page of the user guide explains all the options you have with an unmatched bet
