Perhaps people are friendlier in the north.

I've lived in both and I beg to differ.
It's just in the south people are getting on with things instead of chatting, it's why London is a global economic powerhouse and in Eccles they sell cakes.

Also the north have the Wildlings and Sansa too, seems the place to meet...
