hi ,not even sure if i,m doing this right maybe a dumb question :- the chart says price and volume over time , the price and volume amounts are there but what time span is it over , does the chart start from 9.oclock in the mornig,the last hour or what.....told you it was dumb help needed

If you're referring to the Betfair charts, the x-axis doesn't measure time but an even distribution of prices traded since the market opened. You'll notice if you open an early market with 5 prices traded each point in the graph will occupy 20% of the graph regardless of the time bets were placed. Just before off-time when the markets active the last 5 minutes (for horse racing) can take up 50% of the graph.
If its Bet Angel's advanced charts then the time span is over whatever they have been configured for, if you go into
Settings > Edit Settings > Charts > Advanced Charts
When you click on a chart name in the left panel it will show you on the right what refresh rate and intervals its plotting at
