I went and did an X ray today and the orthopedic specialist said that the x ray report shows a margin on my medial tibial plateau, he said that this is early sign of osteoarthritis. He said if i still want to use my knee when i am 40 years old (i am 27 this year). I need life style changes, no football, no running , hiking ,squats, control body weight ... etc

I am totally devastated by this news. Running has been the passion of my life. Ive no idea why am i having OA at such young age, I see other who does extreme sports and nothing happens to their knee. Its supposed to be a problem for older folks.

Been depressed for a while.

Thats devastating, but at least you know etc and can make some choices.

Maybe in 10 yrs, medicine will have developed remedies etc.

No easy choices .. best wishes.

I'm really sorry to hear that, as somebody who enjoys running and weight training I can't imagine how devastating that must be. I hope you can find other activities like swimming, as already mentioned. Good luck.
