I see after a ten year chase it has reached its quarry. Amazing achievement, even more amazing if they manage to land on it.

Its a fantastic achievement isnt it? If you think how far we have come in the last 45 years or so since Neil Armstrong...
The younger generation has a lot to look forward to!
Im hoping to take my youngest to Florida next April..and Ive never done the space center before

That's a good trip, see if you can get it to coincide with a launch.

I may be wrong; but I thought they stopped launching from Florida these days?

Yep. Soyuz now the only way up. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soyuz_(rocket_family)

Apologies only way up for manned space flight.
