Problem that occurred to me in Excel

Hello,
I had a problem in Excel when I did a law
that says that once the odds of a team fell below 3 then back these odds and i write in the odds column 2.5 and somehow he backed in odds of 6

Was ther some possibility that a jump on the website made the odds go under 3 and then returned them to 6 which is why the odds equaled to 6?
If so what can I do to prevent it happen again?
