after spending a little time re-reading the BA manual, I thought I'd play with the auto trading function today, trying the set-up demonstrated on page 67.The "back" side of the function worked fine, but the lay side didn't. It took me a while to work out why. Isn't the "place at" value of the lay function set too low? Shouldn't it be set at the outer value of your range? e.g. I wanted to play with anything up to 15, so I had to change the value to that figure,

Don't rely on the guide in the manual it is just an example, we didn't put it in there for any particulary special purpose.
You may want to have a play with Excel as that gives you huge amount of flexability as to how you want to place orders and when. Worth playing around with.
