Betfair from USA

Worth a nose, it looks like they have added a bit of content and a differing framework from what I remember. I accidentally got in the shot when I had a tour of the facilities 4/5 years ago.

Do you think these guys at tvg.com accept arbing? The price differences are tremendous!
One can not sign up unless one is a US citizen but I know a couple of people who are American and live in England.

This isnt really just Betfair, but wont start another thread.
6 US states have now legalised sports betting .. New mexico being the latest. I think tax rates there will be prohibitive .. making lines v poor value .. but maybe they will learn.
The handle of New jersey for the 1st 3 mths : (handle is amount wagered in state) - 7 physical and 9 virtual books
Month 1 .. $40m' (July)
Month 2 .. $97m (Aug)
Month 3 .. $194m ... people literally standing in line for 2 hrs to place a bet.
To put it in some perspective .. las vegas handle, is not often over $400m a mth, with all of the casinos etc.
//
Sports Betting roadshows started .. $450 for the privaledge to attend a boot-camp. Maybe they looking for speakers ??

My understanding is that the supreme court has allowed states to legislate for off-course betting. Changes in law doesn't usually happen quickly - it's a lengthy process.
Just noticed that the company offering sports boot camps, been acquired.
