I thought the £2 limit was pretty much a done deal, just goes to show

May still happen eventually. The recommendation may be ignored and an amount less than the £30 limit imposed, followed by further reductions later down the line.

Just watched the BBC news. The argument put forward is that £2 wouldn't give gambling addicts the fix they need and simply drive them onto online gambling with higher limits.

Bullshit. So we should allow our pubs to let people drink to oblivion and the risk of death because they can easily just go to the supermarket.

This decision has really pissed me off. Problem Gambling is too complex to make small assumptions not to change.

The question is... why do they allow bookies " prominently horse and greyhound betting" use that platform to encourage people to bet on FOBTS"

FOBT'S are not like racing. If you cut the stakes not all will look elsewhere, alot will stop. A lot are not interested in racing at all.

I'm sorry but I'm getting really sick of seeing races being delayed 5-10 minutes because horses don't want to go into to the stalls

Surely a trainers job is to make sure a horse can safely enter the stalls and be as relaxed as possible whilst in there so the race can go off near the official off time as well as not affecting any other horses already in the gates

It seems there is absolutely no emphasis on trainers rectifying this issue and its about time they get fined if it continues to happen

If they do it too often they have to go for a stalls test I think. No pass no runs, that seems to be strict enough.

Argued this so many times. We need trial races and horses who don't load in a reasonable time don't get to race until proven, I also believe it will make fewer non-triers.
