Hello guys. I am an italian trader/ bettor
I have to say that I am still a newby. I would like to have some advices, please:
--- In Betfair.it there is no liquidity.
Since Betfair.com does not accept Italians, I can not see the odds in Betfair.com, I can't even see the .com website.
Everyone on internet is saying that Betfair.cm exange is the ''Heaven'... great odds, great liquidity....
Well, I used a website to check the odds on Betfair.com, is oddsfair.net:
https://www.oddsfair.net/
The website shows probably only the best odds at the moment
Anyway I have noticed that there is not so much liquidity.... even if it's Betfair.com
Guys I would like to bet '''hard'' , to trade with stake of 5000$... but how can you do this when at the best back odd in Betfair.com there are only 300$ to back?
Please can you help me? I am close to depression

$5000 bets and you don't know how to place a bet in several smaller parts?
If you try and stick $5000 on in a lump anywhere you're not going to get the best price, exchanges or bookies.

So you've now become a newbie!!!Lucacrebbe wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 3:38 pmWhen it comes to trading I am a little champion.
Everyone could have a talent, and my talent is this.
I have all logical-matematical way of thinking, innate sense of prediction, no emoctions when the market go against me, good sense of risk/reward ratio and so on.
The simple answer to your question is you can't have $5000 on a market that doesn't support that sort of money.
My advice to you is to use small stakes until you're making a consistent profit. Surely it's better to lose a few $ than a few $1000?

You won't be able to create an account, since you don't have a UK address nor bank account, but at least you'll be able to view odds and liquidity for every market.

On Pinnacle you can bet 5000$
P.S. to place a bet in several smaller parts you need time (5 seconds for every bet) and in the maintime the others could eat the second/third best back or lay prices... leaving you without the price at which you wanted bet on.

I am going to live in Germany (not because of Betfair).
Will be able to bet on Betfair.com from there?
Anyway , even on Betfair.com there is not the liquidity I want.
I need to bet hard.. .. I am not afraid to lose 5000 $ because I can afford to lose them, and I won't lose them because I enter only into the trade I am sure of.
Dudes, I am not like you... you trade with tecnical analisis, you treat it like forex... Still you have not understoond that Tecnical analisis can be helpful in a ratio of 7-8% to your trading
The power is in the fundamentals, if you trade markets you don't know anything about them, just relying on your Tecnical Analisis, MACD, OBV , you will be always in red in the long run
I mean ,
What the hell should I care about what the other players are banking at a given time?
What do I care about the MACD?
You make me laugh if you think to come out winning by treating the market only with technical analysis, without understanding anything about sport.< you are trading
. You are like to the millions forex traders in red around the world.
Nothing will ever beat the fundamental analysis, the understanding fundamental of a sport, and the statistics on the victories and losses of a particular team.
You also make me laugh, you and your horses races .. still fixed with horses races, like you were in 2000s, in the early years when there was easy money to be made from newbys on Betfair.com

What the hell are you saying?
If I go to the sportsbook betting 5000$ on the 1.10 odd, I will have 5000$ on 1,10.
Why not?
If I will be winning the sportsbook then can close my account, ok... but that's not my faullt.
That's why I was interstead in Pinnacle
I don't mean to be funny Luca, but you've made quite a few people laugh on the other thread I quoted, to the extent that somebody almost spilt his coffee!Lucacrebbe wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 8:49 pmYou make me laugh if you think to come out winning by treating the market only with technical analysis, without understanding anything about sport.< you are trading

You were asking how much do you need to make £1000 a month, described yourself as a champion trader, now you call yourself a newbie, then you laugh at more experienced traders because we "think to come out winning".
We all keep accounts so we don't think we're winning - we know we're winning!

I'm pretty sure you won't have your account closed if you win $500 on a 1.10 shot - that's the sort of customer that bookies welcome, even though they usually win.Lucacrebbe wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 8:57 pmIf I will be winning the sportsbook then can close my account, ok... but that's not my faullt.
If someone considers being unable to place $5,000 bets at their chosen odds in a heartbeat a valid reason for being close to clinical depression, then they need to start reading some worldwide news.
This thread is already great fun. I'm hoping it's gonna become a classic.

The first rule in life is to fly down, and be humble.
Yes, I am a talented trader.
I am forced to trade on betfair.it with a ridiculous liquidity, because I am Italian. I would really like to come and eat your money on Betfair.com, but I can't because the Italian laws force to me to play on Betfair.it
On betfair.it I can only match 100 euro at bet, without encountering the risk of a high spread, and ridiculous profits compared to huge losses.
.. it is not convenient to play with low liquidity
Despite everything I'm a successful trader on betfair.it and I'm positive of 150 euros in a month
I really would like to scale up x10 my profits.
I saw that the liquidity on Betfair.com is 10 times the one on betfair.it
So I would be in a positive of 1500 if I played on Betfair.
They are not bad, if we consider them as an average monthly profit, but I would like to scale it up even more
I am tired to analize statistics, and so on for that thiny ammount.
If I have to go full time, I would a greater reward, not 150 $ per month
Can you understand, please?

How could anyone live on 1500 a month? Wouldn't be long before that 1500 became close to 1200 with pc
If your going to Germany you can't place bets on the exchange anyway, Betfair only operate their sportsbook thereLucacrebbe wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 8:49 pm
