Question about earnings of Professionals
What effort, exactly, are you putting into trading?Lucacrebbe wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 3:49 pmKnowing that Ostapenko is much more valuable than a 3,25 offer (to back), I backed her
Long story short... made 39$ staking 100$ on Betfair.it.
Now imagine to have staked 10k.
It would have been 3900$ man... 3900$.... I am looking for those kind of rewards, because I put so much efforts in my trading.
The only effort you appear to be making is to find an easy way to make money. One minute you're a tennis expert, the next you're thinking of looking at horses, then you're interested in matched betting!
If you backed Ostapenko for €100 and laid her for €139 after a small swing, making a profit of €39, why do you think you would have won €3900 if you could bet 100 times as much?
What's most likely to have happened is that you would lay her for a few €100 before the price goes out, as she went on to lose. You could have lost €9000!
Doesn't the fact that she lost make you feel glad you didn't end up stuck with €10,000 on her?
The long and short of it is that you will be rewarded for your skill at trading, not for the effort you put in.

I have no idea about how the Italian betting industy works for matched betting, knowing that is your job?Lucacrebbe wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 12:38 am
I have heard of macthed betting. Is it still profitable those days?
Matched betting here (I assume you mean against free offers) is not a serious proposition. The stakes are very small and limited per customer.
Here it's difficult to work with bookmakers in any way, bet size is strictly limited at advertised prices. You will be very lucky to get £500 on, and if you are profitable, they will close your account in days. In that respect, bookie liquidity as a trading option is much much smaller than the exchange. If you lay on BF and BF crashes, and you need to place a bet....you'd close out on Betdaq rather than run to the bookies who'll probably will tell you that you can only have £100.
Here almost every trader will have Betfair and Betdaq accounts to insure against the days when one or the other crashes. If you don't think that will happen, here are 307 pages of postings about it ->Betfair Down / Betfair site crash.
Do you have a 2nd exchange or only betfair.it ? What do you do if befair.it goes down in the middle of a game? How do you stop your loss?

BF.it has ok money waiting, it's just that nobody except you is using it. Why?
I thought Italians loved to gamble, afterall they elected Berlusconi 3 times !
Strange 45min time difference ?
