FCA background checks are pretty in depth surrounding your financial history.
If you were ever made bankrupt, discharged or not then its usually a fail.
Also, anyone with a below average credit score comes into closer inspection.
If you have ever been convicted of fraud then its an automatic fail.
Not saying any of the above apply to yourself, of course.

PS. They also do scans on anyone your associated with or have been in the past via your credit file.
Job Interview - In play Football Trader (Spreadbetting)
Thanks for this info.
Well I've never been bankrupt but my current credit score is low, so guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Regarding the role itself, to begin with it's more about in play management and managing liabilities, keeping a balanced book etc.
They also offer in play pricing as a service to other sportsbooks at the 100% price (for them to do with as they wish) so I'd also potentially be looking at this too.

Its more todo with if your current/ex girlfriend/wife/partner was convicted of fraud.
Bit like when you apply for a firearms licence, the Police will run checks on You, Everyone who lives at your address and if you ever had Ronnie Biggs as a friend.
It shows you're not very careful with money!!
But as it's been said, those checks are just to make sure you're not shady or so broke you might rip them off. I've had those in the past with none too rosy finances and breezed through.
