Depends if every nanosecond counts for you.
Mine's about 14 (so 7 to get there) which I think is pretty std unless you want to lay your own cable. Can't do much about it so I never even worry about it.

How are you able to calculate the ping that an internet connection could ever have, when buying an internet SIM, fiber optic monthly plan?

do you mean ping to the server? You could also choose a server which is the nearest to Betfair having an Edge?

Yeah. When I upgraded to fibre optic a few years ago, ping went from about 30-40ms down to 5-10ms
