you could also use a chrome add in to notify you of any changes to any page (betfair status being the one of interest here):

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... mfcd?hl=en

being a developer also, i always look for something off the shelf, for utilityware, and then if it falls short, pursue the obsesive development curve to add the additional missing 0.001% :D :geek:

[edit] - btw, there's a similar offering called distill that may offer slightly different functionality: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... dgge?hl=en

In fairness, it might be useful to somebody who leaves his/her automation running all day while getting on with other things.
Agreed, but most of us are addicted though ;)

With a little thought one can add a few rules to an automation file to sound an alarm or even disable it if things aren't right - such as unchanged volume in x no of seconds

sa7med, you've missed a trick.

You should've launched a free version, then once everyone's hooked.....bang! Out with the Pro version and litter the free one with ads.
Kerching !!! Subscriptions, ad income and a nice high quality database of names to sell.

Tech titan tactics and £2 in your back pocket, all for just 40%. See what you missed.

But..."I'm out" You've got no copywrite so I'll get my team on that tomorrow and beat you to market  That's the tricky problem with market research. :?

...now poll "Would you find a free service for betfair outages useful?"

I used to write tailor-made (my flipping grammar checker insists on hyphens everywhere) accounting software in the 1980's, but these days, with so much free software available, the emphasis is more on business skills rather than programming skills.

I think you are going after the wrong market, it’s betfair themselves who require this service!

LOL The notifications would typically start with:

"Your Casino games are still working but....."
