sending cash urgently from england to spain

bit of an emergency, need to send cash quickly to a friend in spain, anyone on here know what is the best and quickest way, thanks.

thanks, how would the recipient collect the cash do you know, would it be in shop/cafe type place by giving the cashier/shop assistant a code?

The recipient would need the number (MRN).

and to seahorse.

have opened a western union account, and all is hand with the help of some nice spanish people. basically a friend is on holiday in a remoteish part of southern spain and got mugged within hours of landing, need to get money to her quickly.

Make sure it's actually her before you send the cash, ask her something only you two would know. There's a lot of scams of that nature with hacked Facebook accounts needing money quick

i know it is her i have spoken to her, and a spanish lady who is staying in the same hotel as her, who as kindly taken it upon herself to deal with police etc.

No problem hopefully she's ok and it won't put too much of a downer on her holiday

Not Malaga by any chance? I was mugged there back in 2007.

Well they said it was a mugging but 10 Spanish stamping on your head demanding you to empty your pockets is a bit worse than a mugging.
My aunt was mugged in Spain 20 years ago too. Lots of organised crime there, the British are easy pickings as they know there carrying lots of cash.

I went to Marbella via Malaga a year later. Lovely places, such a shame about the organised crime. Didn't realise there were so much street muggings going on.
