Sad to say, my major trading diet - I only trade at weekends at present - is beer! :-) This can work for me or against me, I just have to keep an eye on the amount of 'fuel' I take on and not let it take me into the 'Red Mist' zone too deeply, or too often!
You'll be facing Le Tiss' wrath with that one benny! One of his golden rules mentioned on here. :o

Must admit I also drink, though try to avoid too much mixing with the actual trading...

My diet has gradually got much better over time. But I lapse now and again depending on how busy I am. I find if I can keep control of my diary and time management my diet improves. But it's often really dull. Salads, soups and variants thereof.

However, the thing that has made a huge difference to me is exercise. I've managed to exercise at least 30 minutes a day, every day for nearly three years now and it really focuses your mind and gets you headed in the right direction. It takes a lot of discipline but it's worth it.

Took me far too long to realise this didn't say "dairy".

Please disregard my worthy post earlier. My carer has gone for a few days with her mum and what I actually seem to eat is croissants dipped in coffee, pizza and crisps. And who knew it, so does the dog!

Do Terry's chocolate oranges count as fruit?

Shaun your consumption habits aren't relevant as you don't trade manually.
Just kidding. Maybe you do trade manually...

:D You're right. I need to stay far more alert than that, hitting the button could launch 1000 trades instead of 1.
I do some manual, but just on the long term stuff

Quick update. Figured out why I was getting so tired: Too much decision-making due to constantly evaluating market activity.

Before: Rock up to market and wing it High concentration for long periods Heavy overall cognitive load  Image <2 hours
Revised: Narrow down what I'm looking for Mostly low concentration, short burts of high focus Reduced load Image ~5 hours+

And defo think my protein powder (gainer; whole milk) is an energy sapper so never take that until finished trading for the day now.

Less stress, less tired, more profit - what's not to like :)

"Rock up to market and wing it" <- that mentality is what gives people like Peter an edge
