Has anybody else seen this and is there an equivalent offer in the UK?

I spent almost an hour on hold and when I got through was told it was only available to new customers. When I asked what the following meant on their website:

This offer is only available to all new and reinstating residential customers in Ireland

I was told a reinstating customer was somebody who signed up for the free trial first. Seems very unfair to give such a large discount to new customers and the middle finger to existing ones.

Hi Pat hope you are well. I'm not aware of any such offer for UK customers.

Presumably this means they're looking to capture specifically the business of those in Ireland who normally wouldn't buy.
In the same way we take value trades in our own interest, it's not of value for RUK/RTV to provide this offer to those who are likely to buy anyway.

Frustrating isn't it.
