There was a palpable glee from some Trump-bashers when Trump announced that he has contracted Covid-19. One luvvie said the news made him leap with joy. We’re back in the territory of ‘Comrade Covid’, where supposed radicals and progressives grimly hope that this novel virus will help to push politics in their preferred direction. From the Remoaners who said at the start of the Covid outbreak that we should put Brexit on hold to the Corbynistas who hope Covid will re-energise the argument for greater state involvement in everyday life, from greens who spy in the Covid crisis proof that humanity can live more meekly to the anti-Trump lobby hoping the virus will hobble Trump’s campaigning and his prospects for re-election, many people seem to see a random sickness as a better bet than the ballot box for achieving their political goals. This is the socialism of ghouls.

Thought I'd run DT's stats for a BMI check.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 1:44 pmThat's only an approximation. It can wrongly flag bodybuilders as being obese or slim but very fit people as underweight.wearthefoxhat wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 1:35 pmA BMI of 30+ is considered "obese."

Can calculate your own...

By the way, the formula's your weight in kilos divided by the square of your height in metres. You don't need a special calculator.

I've made some assumptions, not sure I'd put DT in the body builder camp..could be wrong though.

He's 6' 3" and 17st 4lbs. Does trading football count as being active or do you have to actually play it?wearthefoxhat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 8:26 amThought I'd run DT's stats for a BMI check.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 1:44 pmThat's only an approximation. I consider myself inactive at the moment but if brisk walking counts as activity I'd be in the active group.

Reckon it's more than that, as there is a certain intensity to trading and the odd frantic pacing around...

These figures are always misleading. Such a person would probably burn around 70 lying down for an hour - it's only the additional calories that are relevant.wearthefoxhat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 9:50 am

I'll be laying horses at higher odds than usual this afternoon for black punters only. Don't the rest of you dare touch it!

It is cobblers and it shouldn't have anything to do with skin colour but i remember small flaot stocks surging back when George was killed, social media came up with this genius plan to show compassion by buying stocks in black owned companies.... all that happened was traders made a shit tonne of money riding 100 to 200% moves and the people buying sympathy shares got screwed for their illusion of compassion.to75ne wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 11:53 amcobblers, if a business is viable its viable, not much to do with skin coloursuperfrank wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 11:34 amDon't forget folks, it's Black Pound Day today - https://news.sky.com/story/black-pound- ... d-12088403

There are lots of legacy systems around, especially in Government.
My partner is working for a company and her role is to migrate a system developed using Ashton-Tate dBASE IV from 1991.
