The API might be messed up on saturdays but still I think most would agree that saturdays are their most profitable days (for horses.) Also, apart from the big races, there are often few unmatched bets ready to be taken (mostly trader money) until late on, so it wouldn't hurt betfair as much as a weekday.

But imagine how hurt they would be if there was no trader money on a weekday. Bookies would struggle desperately to get anything matched, the markets would be all over the place

In the 2.30 I layed Pelo de Bief for 200 at 7s before the off and backed it in play. As they'll probably void bets after the off I've probably gained from this one, but I got soo lucky - the horse was the clear leader before falling 2 fences from home. It would have done almost all my bank.

Betfair have got to understand that many people use their site for their livelihoods (and pay for the privilege) and not just for the odd bet. I really feel for anyone who has been done on this

Well Betfair raped me again and the downtime ended in a loss for me.

I'm still not getting any markets to select in BetAngel - is that the same for everyone?

It's back. A BA restart sorted it.

Got paid out exactly what I should have been - I guess people who haven't have had some bets voided as the race was off when they placed them.

Were you closing out inrunning? Can't see how people are in trouble if they closed out before the off. Sorry to hear you lost.

Betfair have indicated the problem was due to loss of connectivity with their hosting provider and not an underlying issue. So, in theory, you should be ok to continue, subject to the hosting provider not having a problem.
