How to analyse trade

Good Morning All

I am trying to gain some knowledge of how to analysis my trades including historic ones. So i can use go through them in the future. I know peter records everything, i just dont know how he does it , and when he say betangel is picking up this data in his absense , how is this done. I would like to record all of this for my future use.

I am looking for things like

Amount traded pre race
Amount traded in running
Total Amount traded
Track and distance

Whilst i am trying to build a spreadsheet , i would love to see how some are recording their data , your ideas will be helpful in me improve my spreadsheet.
