Excel or database how to

Hi people.

Struggling to find a way to do this.

I want to create a report in excel or a database,where i can filter races according to the favourites price at the time slots i have.

Say i want to filter for the prices of all the horses in races where the favourites price at any particular time of my choosing is say < 3.0.

Anyone know of a way of doing this.

Do you already have the data? If so just select it all and use the "filter" function.

I have excel 2010 file.

Columns :-

Date
Event
Course
Time(of race)
Details(of race)
Horse
Price(betfair)

If i filter for price(or price range),i am just left with the horses of that price(or range).

I want to keep prices of all horses in races where the favourites are within certain price ranges,and not have them filtered out.

This is proving exceedingly difficult to achieve.I cannot seem to be able to link the price of an individual horse to the race as a whole.

I think i might need a macro for this.

Grateful for any help.Can't find the answer on the internet.
