Just to add to the balanced view..
my main Excel spreadsheet has some VBA in it to clear cells etc..but the majority of it is standard calculations/formula...

I recently had an expert to at some of my work and he confirmed that the sheet was refreshing between 60-80 ms and given that the minimum refresh to betfair is 200ms, the sheet would be sitting about waiting anyway, without trying to make it faster.

The new API will be a different kettle of fish and worthy of using more VBA (Im no expert by the way, that's just my interpretation)

I just want to let newbies know that you dont needto be a VBA expert to take full advantage of the automation features
