Hi JukeBox,

I tried uploading the excel file via Guardian however it doesn't appear to link.

Any ideas of what the issue is? I was wanting to run this on the Australian Horse Racing today.

Kind regards,
Andrew
Andrew its not an Excel fil its a BAF file - save the file in your documents then go to automation tab in guardian and import the file into BA

Thank you DukeBox. When I import the rules file in guardion (BAF) I can't see if the rules have linked to the market?

On another note, is there any way of back testing the rules to see if this profitable over the longer term.

Now you've imported it you need to attach it to your market(s)

To apply the rule to a market(s) in Guardian go to automation tab
Select the file from the drop down 'rule file name' and select the file
Now highlight a market and click on 'apply rules to market'
You should now see the file name appear alongside the market in the list which means it is now attached.

As to backtesting. You are relying on movement in prices to fill your orders so would need access to detailed historical data on price movements. It is available to buy from Betfair. You can collect the data yourself from future markets. And you would need skills beyond the scope of this thread.

You can however use small stakes or practice mode to see how any file fares with live markets and develop your BA skills along the way.

Don't forget to check out the BA manual and the many Bet Angel videos on Youtube
