Newbie question on placing a lay be to trigger a back bet.

Hello all,

i tried earlier to place a lay bet on a horse to trigger a back bet once the lay has been matched.....

however i could put the lay bet in but as the lay was lower then the current odds i wanted it to trigger a back bet 10 ticks higher then the lay once the lay was matched, but as soon as i put the lay in on a the ladder bet angel placed a back bet at the higher odds but i only want this to happen once the lay is matched.

there is something small that im probabally missing but has anyone got any ideas on what im not doing right.

Would that only trigger the back betafter the lay had been matched tho?

Yes, that is correct. If you tick offset and fill or kill it and reverse the book. Click on some odds and it will hold the order until it is filled. If it is not filled then the order is cancelled. If it is filled then the counter order is placed into the market.
