Bet Angel has been unable to connect to BetFair using the supplied user name and password.

BetFair returned the following message:
An exception was thrown during login: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.
I get the above message in a pop up box when I click log in on my computer. Any idea what I could do to fix this please? I have just tried logging in via the BetFair website on the same machine but it says they are experiencing some technical issues. Is anybody else having this problem with trying to log in?

Callum,

FYI

"Please be aware that from 7th February, the only protocol for securing the communication between Betfair servers and web browsers at login will be TLS 1.2. Older versions (TLS.1.0, TLS.1.1 or SSLv3) will no longer work.
Although we don't expect this to have an impact on API clients we'd recommend that you refer to the following resources depending on your programming language/framework to confirm that your using TLS 1.2 or above:
Overview of Application’s & Adoption – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport ... d_adoption

.NET - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet ... amming/tls
Java - http://www.ateam-oracle.com/tls-and-java/
PHP - http://php.net/manual/en/migration56.openssl.php
Python - https://docs.python.org/2/library/ssl.html ..."
