when i create an automation and save it to my file list when i try to place that automation to another match it gives me a message saying that it was setup for another match and wont work for that match and wont add it
What is the reason for this and how do i get round it

This will happen if you 'apply a rule to a selection by name'
using any of the other options will resolve this for you
On football markets selections always appear in the same row so if creating an automation file for football use by Betfair row index
ie, home team is always in Betfair row 1, away team row 2, draw row 3, unders is always in Betfair row 1, overs in row 2
etc etc....
