How to place a pending back bet lower down the ladder

Hi all,

Trying to place a back bet lower down in price range (from current market price) using the ladder screen.


Scenario: The current market price is around 1.98

I would like to set a back bet using the ladder screen at around 1.9

However when I click to place a bet at 1.9 (using ladder screen) The price actually matched is the current (higher) market price.

Is there a way of setting a "pending" bet order or similar?

So would this explain why some folks can get their orders in further down the ladder?
I just can't seem to see the solution for this.

Change the odds display to reverse. That offers a bet to the market, rather than takes a bet.

Those aren't "pending back bets". Those are the layer's bets offering money to backers at lower prices. If you make a lay offer at one of those prices you will see that your offer is added to those already there.
