Sales and trading

Trading is often about how to take the appropriate risk without exposing yourself to very human flaws.

I used to know a guy who loved chatting the girls up, but hated the last part of trying to get them into bed, as he didn't want to look like a rat

I knew another guy who had a different tactic - if you go out and have a good time, followed by asking 100 girls for a shag.....1 of them will probably say 'yes'

I'll give you a gold star for guessing who got laid more often!

Hi
I work in sales too
We work on projected pipeline business and try to work on a funnel basis as a ratio. The more opportunities you can get in, the more chance you have of closing. If you have no pipeline, then there's a good chance you will fail.
Pipeline is projected as far forward as 12 months too.
Its EXACTLY the same principle in trading, thats why I loved auto trading in the early days as you could get lots of volume through.. :D

Sales pipeline, its a term used to project business. Fill up your funnel with lots of prospects and some sales will come out of the bottom.

Some rather worrying parts to the job:
~Responsible for defining new pricing initiatives from concept to execution and accountable for the full product lifecycle, including determining revenue uplift, defining product requirements, and implementing pricing trials.

~Working with Third Party specialists who will provide insights on pricing optimisation strategies

~Responsible for meeting revenue targets by making pricing changes

Yes or perhaps they are preparing for some competition from Ladbrokes.

That pricing talk could be about foreign territories. No need to be working with third party experts to know how to shaft us any more!
