Hi,

Can the following be automated within guardian ?

Example(s):

1. Place a £10 back bet on a nominated runner at odds of 12
2. Place a £10 lay bet on the same nominated runner at odds of 6 (50%)
3. Green Up the nominated runner at odds of 3 (50% from 2 above)

OR

1. Place a £10 back bet on a nominated runner at odds of 6
2. Place a £10 lay bet on the same nominated runner at odds of 3 (50%)
3. Green Up the nominated runner at odds of 1.5 (50% from 2 above)

Obviously 1 and 2 is easy but what about 3. Also, the odds would be different for each runner etc.

Thanks,

Not exactly what you asked, but this is a more generic concept that will work at any odds (above 4.00).

Rule A: back selection for £5 with 50% "Offset bet with greening"
Rule B: back selection for £5 with 75% "Offset bet with greening"

These will basically back at 12.00, lay half with greening at 6.00, half with greening at 3.00.

Many Thanks,

I think I can do what I originally wanted by using Stored Values and on the Green Up trigger get it to check if the current odds are <= 50% of the previously stored value which was laid in 2 etc.

I'm sure you can, but bear in mind there's a 1 second delay in placing bets in-play.

It might get in the way of your strategy if the odds are shortening in the closing stages, as the following can happen:

- You back at 12.00 pre-play
- The race goes in-play
- Your 6.00 lay gets matched, meanwhile odds keep getting lower
- Your bot triggers a 3.00 lay
- Market odds reach 3.00 then bounce, never to return
- Your 3.00 lay hits the market but will never get matched
