Hi,

I'd like to automate a trade on football matches.

Specifically I'm interested in Backing the First Half Over 0.5 Market.

What I would like automation to do is take a Back position just before the Kick Off and then place a 2nd Back bet when the average of the 2 Backs will be @1.5.

So just before KO if I take a Back position of @1.35 the 2nd Back position would need to be @1.65 to create an average desired Back position of @1.5.

I understand how to place an automated Back position just before the start of a match but need help with the second part, having BA enter a 2nd Back bet creating average odds of @1.5.

Thank you for any advice.

You can do this calculation using Stored values as follows

So you store the price when your back bet is placed (value A)

Then store a value B as 1.50

Then deduct value A from B to create (Value C)

Finally, add value C to 1.50 to create (Value D)

Then on your second rule place the bet at Stored Value D

Thank you for that Dallas.
I now need to work out how to build this in Guardian.
Would this be one Rule with 4 different Stored Values or 4 different Rules each with a Shared Value?

I mean each with a 'Stored' Value not a 'Shared' Value, that was a typo.

It can all be done on the one back bet rule, the stored values are processed in the order you have them in the list so as long as you have it in the correct order it will do the calculation correctly

You then just need the 2nd back bet rule to place at the final stored value

Hi Dallas,

Somebody kindly helped me with this but it hasn't fired properly when tested.

I tested it tonight and have attached a log and the baf file.

I think the reason is, see pic, Value C =1.5 - 1.43 =1.01

Could you please advise how to make it work.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry only just seen this post.
I'm not sure exactly what was wrong with the calculation of the Stored Values as it was tweaked pretty fast.
I added Keep bets to trigger 5 times as it was not always triggering with only one firing.
I've attached it so you can see.
Let me know what you think of it.

From what you have said i doubt very much if you will find a football market for over 0.5 goals at 1.35.
Most likey they will be about 1.15 at best, most will be between 1.04 and 1.1.
Also you will have to wait until about 65mins for the 2nd bet to be entered to the market.

It would be difficult to find 1.35 on Over 0.5 Goals indeed.... much much less of a tough time when it's First Half Over 0.5 Goals. ;)
