You are absolutely guaranteed to be matched on a loser unless you're quick enough to cancel the bet because all losers are heading towards 1000. To get matched on a winner though, you're competing against other traders who may be faster or be more willing to take a shorter price. Basically it's easier to back a loser than a winner.
